Programme Thesis
The Startup Spotlight at BIO-Europe Spring 2026 is a pitch competition that provides early-stage biotech companies with visibility, networking, and a chance to win a complimentary registration to a future EBD Group event. It exists to connect entrepreneurs with top-tier investors and pharma dealmakers, offering an affordable platform to showcase innovative therapeutic solutions, technologies, or digital platforms.
Selection Criteria
Eligibility: company created in the past three years (or innovation incubated ≤3 years), developing new therapeutic solutions/technology/digital platforms, aggregate funding ≤€10 million, <25 employees. Selection: pitch quality (6-minute presentation), innovation, commercial potential, and fit with investor/dealmaker interests as judged by a live jury of leading investors, pharma dealmakers, and biotech KOLs.
